Earth Hour 2009

It only takes 1 hour. 1,508 cities and towns in 80 countries have already committed to VOTE EARTH for Earth Hour 2009, as part of the worlds first global election between Earth and global warming.

What can you do in support of this campaign?
Turning your lights off for an hour from 8.30pm to 9.30pm on 28th March 2009!!

I just dun understand. Why would ppl just love to take advantage of something so meaningful. The whole idea about Earth Hour is a message to mankind to fight global warming. It's not a day to celebrate or have fun, or having parties and making it big. It's just an awareness, that the earth needs human to take care before it gets sicker. Do you think it's proud to say: "Oh no, I celebrated earth hour in a concert..." Shame on u.

What can you contribute to Earth Hour? You don't have to be at a specific place, you don't need to join any parties or gatherings; all you need to do is to switch off unwanted lights and electrical appliances. If possible, just stay home, switch off the computer, the radio, the lights, the fan, the TV....just for 1 hour. You won't die without the computer or TV for 1 hour. It won't harm anyone, it's just a conscious. And you don't just do this during Earth Hour. Make it a good habit to switch off unwanted electricity. It will make a difference.
