So how did I celebrate?

Went to MV to have lunch with EV. First time trying Pasta Zanmai and it's superb. Thanks EV for recommending and for the treat :D

After lunch I drove to KL Bird Park coz I've never been there. Got lost somewhere near Dataran Merdeka but managed to find it in the end. The entrance fee is RM15 for MyKad holder, RM39 for non-MyKad holder which I think it's a rip off. Not many species of birds there, and most of them were caged. Maybe that day was a weekday it was quite deserted with only a group of kindy kids, and few other tourists. The birds were not in the mood to perform also during the bird show. I was there from 3-6pm then I left.

On the way back I heard that MyFM SE 特工队 was in SS15, so I took a detour and went to see them. The search wasn't in vain as I brought home many freebies including 2 premier tickets to Hannah Montana the movie!! (I din really win the tix, it was given to me by the guy who won it. Maybe I look like a Hannah Montana fan or maybe he can feel that it was my birthday lol)



Since it was Dragon Boat Festival on that day, instead of going Sakae Sushi to enjoy my 20% birthday special rate, I went to aunty's place for dinner instead. My family bought a cake and we celebrated at my aunty's place with all my nieces and nephews very excited about the cake. Guess it was nicer than eating alone in Sakae :D

Really enjoyed the day off and the stroll in the bird park although many ppl gave me that weird look when I told them I went to birdpark alone on my birthday lol. It was really fun especially I can play with my camera trying to take birds. Will upload the photos soon.

明天，我大完

不知几时开始，习惯了每年的明天都会请一天假，就算是在周日也好周末也好，都会请假。可能不想让工作破坏好心情吧，也有可能是因为以前这一天都不是一个好天，不是遇上考试就是生病了。

去年是我第一次跟他庆祝，我们驾车去了Bukit Tinggi一日游，在很有法国风味的餐馆吃晚餐，回家前还去了星巴克吃蛋糕。



今年他不在，我还是请了假。到现在还不知道要怎么过。自从香港回来，我对于自己一个人没像以前那么抗拒了。6天的自由行真的让我觉得自己一个人真的没什么大不了。一个人喜欢几点醒就几点醒，要吃什么就吃什么。一个人背着相机就去逛了。停停走走换地点也不用交代什么，也不用担心人家会不高兴。

明天要做什么呢？可能早上去看电影吧，中午约了依雯吃午餐，然后就是我的自由行了，还在想要去飞禽公园还是海底世界好....有意见吗？

晚上，本想去《荣》吃大餐，我有会员卡折扣20%叻，但是爸爸说大姨家有庆祝端午节去吃饭，怎样叻？ :(

Leaving On Firefly

Just a random video that came across my mind.

I'm flying again!!! This time to Phuket. Aunty Agnes got the package real cheap, so she asked dad if he's interested. I overheard and said I wanna go too. So in the end mom and dad, Jack and I will be going together with Aunty Agnes and Uncle Chris!! The best part is, dad sponsored :D The whole trip 4D2N (flight+accommodation with breakfast and free complimentary spa session) only cost about 1.6k for 4 person.

Our trip was initially scheduled on 23rd May coming back on 26th May. However, dad received an sms yesterday saying that the flight on 23rd is cancelled and our flight will be moved to 24th instead. Dad asked me to call up Firefly to change to 22nd as Aunty Agnes will be going on 22nd.

It was quite a pain trying to get thru FF's customer service. I was put on hold for about 10 minutes before someone real talked to me. Apparently getting the flight changed is not a problem, but because our trip is with hotel package, they have to check with the hotel first. So I was told to wait for confirmation.

This morning I called again, this time the customer service told me I have to call up the holiday package department to get the necessary changes as our package is bundled with accommodation, she was unable to do the amendment. =.=

To cut the story short, finally I managed to get the trip schedule changed from 24th to 22nd, and coming back on the 25th. Then I had to get my leave approved. My manager was very understanding and gave me green light to take off tomorrow and coming back to work on a Tuesday.

I'm going back to pack!!!!

Nohohon Zoku (のほほん族) are a line of fist-sized bobble head figurines made by the Japanese toy company Tomy. They first went on sale in Japan on July 18, 2002. They are distinguished by a large spherical head with a wide smile and dots for eyes. The primary function of the dolls is to relieve their owners from stress. This makes them especially popular as desk knick-knacks and in offices. Nohohon is marketed as Sunshine Buddies in English speaking countries.

The name Nohohon Zoku means "carefree family." The original two lines were the Hidamari no Tami (ひだまりの民 Sunny People) and the Hanauta no Tami (はなうたの民 Humming People). The Hidamari no Tami can hold a business card sized piece of paper, whereas the Hanauta no Tami can sing and dance.

Unlike traditional bobble head dolls that bobble when poked or moved, most Nohohon Zoku are powered by small solar panels. (Hanauta no Tami are powered by three triple-A batteries.) As light shines on them, they gently sway their heads until the light source is removed.

幸福指环 - The Ring of Happiness

This ring was introduced in an 82 episodes Hong Kong Drama The Gem of Life. (I only watched until 40 and I stopped because it's too long)

This ring is called 幸福指环 (The Ring of Happiness). It was designed by one of the characters in the drama, based on a myth that a couple was actually a clam shell by the sea. They were separated by waves. Therefore, they have to search for their another half of the shell. Some are able to find quickly, but some will take very long process. Once you find the another half, both will live happily ever after. (The story sounded more romantic in chinese XD )

This ring is special because it is made of 2 rings. You can wear both together, or separately.



Well, as the main sponsor of the drama, MaBelle Diamond for sure wanna earn profit from it. I saw it in their retail chain store in Hong Kong. You can buy separately. The total price of the whole ring was HKD 16,681. Haha. That's almost 8k in RM.

Then I saw it selling at HKD 5,300 when I suddenly tot of blogging it. I tot the price dropped, then I realised it was a cheaper version with lesser diamonds on it. Guess that 16k is too much for normal range customer. :D


The best part is, I found it selling in some China website, price as low as RMB 4.00. lol....

A Familiar Scent

Have you ever come across a smell that makes u remember something/somewhere/somebody significant?

Everybody will have a special smell, be it sweat, body odour, perfume, shampoo...Smell is one type of identification or memory.

Sometimes a specific smell makes me recall a distance memory - especially when I first smell it. Like a certain type of soap, shampoo, food.

Sometimes when you remember something/somewhere/somebody, you tend to feel like you are smelling that scent even when they are not around. Is that meaning that you are missing that something/somewhere/somebody?
